Congratulations on booking your trip of a lifetime! Embarking on new adventure can be a daunting task, whether it’s your first time or your hundredth. To help with your planning, we have summarized a few key aspects relating to both our voyages and travel in general.
At Aurora Expeditions our aim is to make it possible for everyone to travel with us. If you are embarking on a Polar or Discovery Expedition, we will ask you to complete a self-assessed Medical Assessment. Completing this Medical Assessment accurately will help us to deliver an enjoyable expedition for you and your fellow expeditioners.
There is a small but well equipped medical clinic on board designed to provide initial care for most medical illnesses and injuries. The clinic is staffed by a doctor experienced in remote area medicine however, hospital level care may be up to three days away, depending on the ship’s location.
It is required that we are alerted to any special medical needs of our passengers before the expedition. This form is to be completed and acknowledged by all expeditioners regardless of whether you are declaring an existing medical condition or not.
Please Note: If required, you may be asked to visit a Medical Practitioner to complete further details relating to your Medical Assessment
As a traveler, you are responsible for all immigration, passport, visa, health, quarantine and customs laws, regulations, orders, demands or other requirements of countries you are visiting on your voyage.
If you are unsure about your entry requirements to a country you are visiting, we recommend speaking to your consulate or visit their respective website for information.
To make your journey as smooth as possible, please keep the following timelines in mind when preparing for your voyage.
All required passenger details must be submitted no later than 30 days prior to embarkation.
If you are joining a Polar or Discovery Expedition, a mandatory Self-Assessment Medical Form will be sent to you 90 days prior to embarkation. Please complete and return this promptly.
If your Small-Ship Cruise or Discovery Expedition includes Your Choice Experiences, these must be selected no later than 60 days prior to embarkation.
