Join us for an expedition focused on giving you the best chances to see whales in Antarctica, and likely one of the most awe-inspiring wildlife experiences of your life! The late summer is peak time for the whales, as they migrate to feed on krill blooms as the sea ice retreats, preparing for their annual migration to warmer waters.
From the mighty Humpback to the smaller Minke, a plethora of species call Antarctic waters home. Perhaps you’ll be treated to a display of the acrobatics of the humpback, or perhaps to the excitement of fellow passengers and your Expedition Team, you’ll spot the iconic fin of the minke whale. Although technically dolphins, you might spot a pod of orcas hunting, a show of how impressive and cruel nature can be.
Learn more about the giants of the seas during an insightful talk by one of our marine biologists, and board zodiacs to venture out and witness these breathtaking giants in their element.
