What is the best month to cruise to the Arctic in 2027?
The best time to cruise to the Arctic in 2027 is during the Arctic summer—June, July, and August. These months offer milder temperatures, extended daylight hours, and optimal conditions for wildlife viewing, glacier exploration, and cultural encounters. Aurora Expeditions schedules its Arctic voyages during this season to ensure the most immersive and comfortable experience.
How far in advance should I book an Arctic cruise?
Booking early is highly recommended for Arctic 2027 expeditions, especially if you’re planning to travel during the peak summer months of June, July, or August. To secure your preferred itinerary, cabin type, and departure date, we suggest booking 12 to 18 months in advance, as voyages often sell out quickly.

Each passenger aboard our Antarctic expeditions will receive an expedition jacket when they board the ship. However, you’ll need to ensure you pack the correct cold and wet weather gear for your landings, including gloves, a hat and thermal undergarments for added warmth. A good quality pair of binoculars, a camera and extra batteries are essential for capturing Arctic wildlife and landscapes.
