By day, discover Iceland’s wild Westfjords and geothermal landscapes, explore immense Greenlandic fjords filled with ice, and uncover the Viking and Neolithic heritage of the Faroe and Orkney islands. By night, clear skies and solar activity may combine to create one of nature’s most extraordinary displays.

Important Notes

Pack your flexibility:

Aurora Expeditions operates in remote and dynamic environments. In the spirit of expedition travel, we encourage you to arrive with a flexible and adventurous outlook. The itinerary is a guide only and may change due to weather, sea conditions, wildlife activity or other circumstances beyond our control.

Fitness and mobility:

Your voyage offers rewarding landings and walking opportunities. A reasonable level of fitness will help you make the most of them, although slower-paced groups are generally available. You should be steady on your feet and able to use the ship’s gangway, which is similar to a steep flight of stairs; step into and out of a Zodiac when there is some movement; and walk over wet, uneven or rocky ground.

Zodiacs:

Zodiacs allow us to explore remote coastlines and bring you closer to the remarkable scenery and wildlife that make each region so unique. These sturdy inflatable boats are used for both landings and cruises, giving you the chance to experience the landscape from a completely different perspective on the water.

Your Choice shore excursions:

The ‘Your Choice’ shore excursions listed in this itinerary are included in your voyage. Please reserve your preferred experiences through the passenger portal at least 60 days before embarkation; choices cannot be amended after this deadline. If we do not receive your selections in time, excursions will be allocated automatically. We will endeavour to provide your first choice, but an alternative may occasionally be necessary for operational reasons.

Flight connections:

Do not book a departure flight before 12.00 pm on disembarkation day, as delays may occur at the conclusion of the voyage.
