Is it safe to travel in 2022?

It is safe to travel in 2022 but be aware that travelling now is not like it was in the past. Here are some things to consider when planning your trip:

  • Choose to travel with companies that have you and your health and safety as a priority. Ask what measures they have in place and don’t be afraid to question them. You can read about the Aurora Expeditions comprehensive health and safety protocols to get an idea of what you should look out for. In 2022 we’re committed to responsible travel.
  • Everyone has a role to play in responsible travel to ensure the safety of the people and places they visit. Take personal responsibility by following health and safety protocols and reading up on those required in the countries and regions you intend to visit ahead of time.

At Aurora Expeditions we have partnered with Respond Global, a world-renowned health crisis management agency who has assisted us to develop our prevention and response system that is among the most comprehensive in the world.

The spectacular Antarctic Peninsula is the most accessible part of the white continent. The western coast is etched with fjords; dozens of islands lie offshore. The result is a glorious maze of sheltered channels and inlets, where modern scientific stations and reminders of early explorers and the whaling industry are scattered among penguin rookeries and seal colonies.

When travelling with us, there is a checklist to complete prior to departure.

  • Before leaving home for your trip, make sure you check the COVID-19 health screenings required for international travel as they may differ between countries and regions.
