As the major gateway to the Canadian Rocky Mountains and hosting “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”, the Calgary Stampede, Calgary can be enjoyed throughout the year. Visit various sites of Calgary’s modern urban centre including Stampede Park, Canada Olympic Park and Lougheed House.

Day 1 – Calgary

On arrival at Calgary airport (pre-voyage) or upon checkout from your airport hotel (post-voyage), transfer by private vehicle to your downtown hotel, the 4½ star Hotel Le Germain. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, starting to explore the local area.

Overnight: Calgary

Day 2 – Calgary

Today, you will enjoy a half day city tour of Calgary.

View the sites of Calgary’s modern urban centre. Points of interest include Canada Olympic Park, Lougheed House, Stampede Park, Downtown Calgary, and more.

Guides will provide an engaging and interactive experience that brings Calgary to life as only a personal introduction can. Learn about the landmarks and public spaces that make Calgary an interesting blend of the old west and new urban centre. Enjoy the diverse stories that provide an entertaining view of the city that was once known as “rail town”, “sandstone city”, and finally “oil town”.

The tour will depart from and return to the base of the Calgary Tower.

Day 3 – Calgary

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. If you are joining our Northwest Passage voyage today, you are free to explore the city before transferring to the airport to check into your airport hotel and meeting your fellow expeditioners this evening. If you are departing Calgary today, transfer to the airport for onward arrangements. (B)
