Lisa Blair

Australian Adventurer, Author, Keynote Speaker and Multi-World Record Holding Sailor

In 2017, Lisa became the first woman to sail solo around Antarctica with only one stop. For her achievement she was awarded the Spirit of Adventure award by Australian Geographic and the Seamanship Award by the Ocean Cruising Club. That same year, she partnered with The Magenta Project.org and led the first all-female team in 16 years to race in the Rolex 2017 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race onboard her yacht, Climate Action Now.

In 2018, Lisa set off in the New Year with the goal of becoming the first woman to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around Australia. On the 17th of December, she sailed into Sydney Harbour after facing down storms, drifting, a near sinking and skillful navigation around many reefs and rocks along the country’s coastline. She established a new record time of 58 Days, 2 hours, 25 minutes and 29 seconds. In 2022, Lisa again turned her attention to Antarctica, and became the fastest person in the world to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around the continent. She now has over 80,000 nm under her belt and has released a book called Facing Fear, published by Australian Geographic.
