Australia

Field Operations Manager

Role Type: Full-time | Hybrid | Sydney, NSW 

This role sits at the centre of our expedition operations, leading the delivery of safe, seamless and high-quality voyage experiences across our global fleet.

You’ll play a key role in supporting expedition teams and overseeing voyage delivery, while leading the planning and execution of our Activity Program, including kayaking, snorkelling and guided experiences. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure strong operational performance, expedition readiness and continuous improvement across every journey. Your responsibilities will span everything from developing processes and risk frameworks to monitoring performance and building team capability, ensuring our expeditions are delivered consistently and to the highest standard.

Activities Coordinator

Role Type: Full-time | Hybrid | Sydney, NSW 

This role sits at the centre of our expedition activity program, coordinating everything from passenger applications and approvals through to voyage preparation.

You’ll play a central role in coordinating passenger participation across all expedition activities, managing the process end-to-end from application through to approval. This includes reviewing and assessing applications for activities such as kayaking, diving, snorkelling and alpine programs, verifying certifications and medical clearances, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM. You’ll ensure the process runs smoothly and compliantly, while also contributing to improvements in forms, workflows and reporting. A key part of the role is managing the activity email inbox and responding to passenger queries, providing clear guidance on requirements and status, and following up to ensure all documentation is received on time.

Retail Planner Buyer

Role Type: Part-time | Hybrid | Sydney, NSW 

Are you passionate about retail and sustainability? Aurora Expeditions is seeking a talented Retail Buyer/Planner to join our team and oversee the product selection, inventory management, and logistics for our onboard ship shops. Reporting to the Global Head of Product, this role is key to delivering a retail experience that aligns with Aurora’s brand values, enhances the passenger journey, and caters to the unique needs of adventurers exploring remote destinations.

You will focus on sourcing high-quality, sustainable, and destination-inspired merchandise, optimising sales performance, and ensuring efficient stock management. This is your chance to combine creativity, strategy, and a commitment to sustainability while delivering an exceptional retail experience for our passengers.

This permanent part-time role (three days per week) collaborates closely with our onboard ship team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our onboard shops.

Expedition Team

Role Type: Contract | Remote 

The Aurora Expedition Team are passionate specialists in their field that offer a range of expertise such as historians, marine biologists, geologists, naturalists and guides. Our skilled activity guides in both polar and tropical regions include diving, snorkelling, kayaking, alpine trekking, snowshoeing and mountaineering.
