Day 1 – Anchorage

On arrival into Anchorage, transfer on own to your downtown hotel, the 4 star Hilton Anchorage. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, starting to explore the local area.

Overnight: Anchorage

Day 2 – Half day city tour

This narrated sightseeing tour brings you to Anchorage’s points of interests, such as the Port of Anchorage/Ship Creek area, Earthquake Park and Lake Hood, the busiest private seaplane base in the world! End the tour with a drive up the Chugach Mountains for a scenic view of Anchorage, surrounding mountain ranges, and stunning Cook Inlet (weather permitting). (B)

Turnagain Turnaround Tour – 6 hours

Take a small group tour along Turnagain Arm, one of the most scenic drives in the country. Your professional Alaska tour guide will take you south along the Seward Highway toward Girdwood telling you all about the area and sharing personal knowledge of Alaska on the way to Mt. Alyeska. Take in the spectacular views as you ride an aerial tram to the top of the mountain. Lunch is included in Girdwood. Afterwards, visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where your guide will introduce you to Alaskan animals including moose, bears, elk, caribou, owls and more! As you travel back to Anchorage, keep your eyes open for Dall sheep and bald eagles! (L)

Day 3 – Anchorage

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. If you are joining a voyage today, you are free to explore the city before meeting your fellow expeditioners this evening. If you are not joining a voyage, please contact our reservations team for assistance with onward arrangements. (B)
