Laetitia, who is of French/German origin, grew up as a sailor circumnavigating the globe with her family over seven years. She completed a Bachelor of Arts, graduating from Brown University in the USA and later a Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts in printmaking from Otago School of Art.

Laetitia lived in Chamonix, France before making Wanaka, New Zealand her home in 1993. She is an NZMGA qualified ski guide and an alpine trekking guide. Laetitia lives in Wanaka and works in the winter months as a heliski guide.

In the summer months, Laetitia is the chief guide and owner of Wanaka Heli Hikes. Over the years, ski touring and heliski work has taken her to the European Alps, Himachal in northern India as well as the glaciers of Greenland. Amongst the numerous ocean trips, Laetitia sailed from Brasil to Argentina across to South Georgia and onwards to South Africa, combining sailing with climbing. Laetitia speaks fluent French, German, and Spanish.

Her nomadic childhood, as well as later travels, have instilled a life-long passion for the interpretation of landscapes. As an artist, Laetitia paints, but lately she has been focusing on printmaking.

As a mother of two, Laetitia balances being a practicing artist, a mother and working as a guide.
